All American Boy

Nikon D300 f/36 @ 3 to 30 secs Ratio1:1-:10 60/105mm lit w/ a Halo light
For our major project this week in our macro class we had to photograph a subject starting from ratio 1:1 up to 1:10. I chose my baseball glove, using a halo light and a 105mm for the first 3 shots and then moving to a 60 mm I selected certain sections of the glove to shoot and moved positions to get different angles and perspective of the glove. To better view them all as one I put them together in a collage, let me know what you think!

Galileo

Nikon D300 f/32 @ 1.3 secs ISO 200 1:2 Ratio 105mm Lit w/ Halo light
This is a macro photograph of my Galileo Thermometer shoot with a 1:2 ratio backlit by a Halo light, pretty cool colors and lighting I thought, what do you think?

Kayleigh's Appendicitis

Nikon D300 f/32 @ 2secs ISO 200 105mm Lit w/ Halo light Ratio 1:1
Last Wednesday unfortunately Kayleigh had appendicitis and they when in a did a laparoscopy, on the flip side it was pretty awesome for me because I got to shoot her staples using a macro 1:1 ratio before they took the staples out today.

Black Hole

Nikon D300 f/22 @ 4 sec. ISO 200 105mm Lens 1:2 Ratio Lit w/ Halo Lights
For week 2's assignment we had to shoot a "what the heck is it?" shot. I chose to shot one of my favorite objects to shoot, my Sony Ericsson Bluetooth speaker. I backlit it with a Halo light at a 1:2 Ratio and I think it came out really nice, tell me what you think.

My Women Warrior

Nikon D3000 f/22 @ 1/15 ISO 200 1:1 105AF
This is my women warrior I really like the dramatic lighting I used with her, I lit her from her left side with one 750 hotlight using a 1 to 1 Ratio. And the gradient in the background was set quite nice too if I do say so myself. Out of all of the shots that I took for this assignment I like this one the best. Although I do have to give a big thank you to Ms. Barbara Whitt for letting use her little women warrior!

Aspirin Anyone?

Nikon D3000 f/45 @ 1.3 seconds  ISO 200 1:1 105AF
Using a 750 hotlight raking it across the left side of the aspirin to get the nice shadow detail in the lettering of the aspirin I shoot this at a 1 to 1 Ratio on-top of the case for the SP 800 for adding contrast. So for all the Bio's here's an aspirin for that headache you got after your shoots hunting for all those objects through the macro lens.

"Macro" SD Card

Nikon D3000 f/45 @ 1/15 ISO 200 1:1 Ratio 105AF
For our first assignment for our macro class this spring we were asked to take small objects and experiment with the lens at a 1 to 1 ratio (life size) using proper exposure and lighting. I really had a lot of fun with this assignment, and check out the detail on this micro sd card, all the knick and scratches on it! Let me know what you think.
